iSource Stood Strong
In the face of adversity, iSource has once again showcased its unwavering commitment to its employees and clients during the recent Chennai flood of 2023. As the rain poured and the city faced unprecedented challenges, iSource emerged as a beacon of support, ensuring the well-being of its team members, continuing to serve clients, and exhibiting exceptional teamwork.
Weathering the Storm Together
As the red alert loomed over the KTCC area, including Chennai, iSource swiftly responded to the situation. Management at iSource urged everyone to prioritize safety, emphasizing the importance of staying connected with their respective team leaders and offering help to those in need.
Office Closure and Business Continuity
Acknowledging the severity of the situation, iSource decided to close its office temporarily, aligning with the government’s warnings. However, the commitment to clients remained steadfast. Despite the challenges, the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) was set in motion, ensuring that remote work continued seamlessly thanks to secure VPN connections. The plan consisted of giving advance notifications to the clients and daily updates as to their preparedness to return to the office. The proactive action endeared the company to the clients, who encouraged the employees to stay safe. Employees who were working remotely from their homes formed the skeleton staff to keep the business running.
Teamwork in Action
The spirit of teamwork shone brightly as employees came together to support one another. Messages of encouragement, safety tips, and even a cyclone checklist were shared within the iSource community. This camaraderie created a sense of solidarity and resilience among the iSourcians.
CEO Sivakumar's Words of Encouragement
Amidst the challenges, CEO Sivakumar expressed solidarity with the team, drawing parallels with the 2015 floods. He highlighted the city’s preparation and resilience while encouraging everyone to stay safe and take advantage of the time indoors, perhaps by indulging in some reading.

Acts of Compassion

The organization took note of employees facing critical situations. An initiative was taken to collect information and provide assistance, ensuring that those stranded without food or accommodation received help promptly.
Volunteer Efforts
As the floodwaters rose, iSource employees stepped up to the challenge. Volunteer efforts were coordinated to help those stranded in the Thoraipakkam area. Messages like “Any update on these guys?” and “Myself and 3 others are available to volunteer” exemplified the spirit of iSource in extending a helping hand to both colleagues and the community. Messages updating on the safety of colleagues, like “Alen, Muthu, and Binu came out of that place successfully” and “Thiru HR is safe and on the way to his hometown,” portrayed a sense of relief and unity amidst uncertainty.
Remote Work and Assistance
Despite power outages and challenging conditions, iSource’s IT team worked tirelessly to facilitate remote work, offering assistance in setting up VPNs and remote applications. The dedication of the IT department ensured that business operations continued smoothly, even when physical access to the office was restricted.
